Agenda

**Received an email from Dee Dee w/ OCID on 12/4/23 wondering what the terms of payment are and when payment is due. Re-plied to Dee Dee this morning. OCID currently waiting on grant dollars and a loan approved by the landowners? Is there going to be an issue with payment?

**Changes to scope of work costs will be submitted this afternoon. KGCI will submit scopes of work cost changes individually with detailed cost explanations for each.

  1. Dewatering
  2. Gear Box Switch Over for each Valve
  3. Drilling New Holes at Existing Flange to Accept 24” Spool
  4. Procuring 9” SS Bolts at Downstream Section of Pipe to Attach Flange Support & Valve to Existing Pipe Flange

Tasks Previously Completed

  • The following submittals were approved:
    • 09 96 20-1 Coatings (Macropoxy 646, Sher-Loxane 800 ordered on 12/5, due in ~12/12)
  • Submittals awaiting approval:
    • 03 20 00-1 Concrete Reinforcing (sent 12/4). Revised shop drawings submitted 12/6
    • 02 83 33-5 Remaining Metalwork Inspection Report (send afternoon of 12/6)

Work Completed

  • Sandblasting and cleanup completed. One more cleanup of materials and equipment as well as shop vac bottom of shaft before primer and paint applied and final clean within the shaft after coating applied to pipe.
  • Per Tom Hook on 12/1: “The sandblasting seemed thorough although there is some grit to be cleaned up under the pipe. (KGCI will utilize Dremel Tool w/ attachments to clean grit from under side of pipe.) “There will also need to be some additional sur-face prep immediately before coating as the submitted primers call for priming any bare steel within 8 hours or before flash rust-ing occurs.” (Note: Flash rust occurred almost immediately after sandblasting. KGCI will apply primer to pipe sections the same day as rust inhibitor is used.)
  • Installed downstream valve with temporary bolts; ordered 9” bolts from Fastenal (due 12/8).
  • Installation of center section of spool including coupling. Completion of pipe assembly anticipated for Friday, December 8th, after 9” bolts are installed.

2 Week Look Ahead:

  • Locate waterline for Keith Holteen. Talked w/ Mr. Holteen yesterday and we are planning for this week.
  • Schedule DMEA for installation of power poles. Depending on timing, KGCI will also auger holes at dam at least 24 hours before DMEA is onsite. Protect in-place.
  • Updated project schedule will be submitted 12/7/23.
  • Installation of a portion of the vent pipe. We do not want to exercise valves until a vertical section of the vent pipe has been installed. Anticipate exercising the valves after paint and primer is completed over the next 2 weeks.
  • Remove rust utilizing rust inhibitor. Application will need to be done within the same day as primer coat is applied at the exist-ing pipe.
  • Apply primer and paint existing pipe.
  • Exercise Valves
  • Grading, compaction, formwork, installation of structural reinforcement and placement of concrete for building slab.
  • Doughty Steel has completed fabrication and will take to UT for galvanization the week of 12/11. Galvanizing process to take approximately one week. High Country Manufacturing to begin fabrication of machine components.
  • OCID to select colors for roof panels and stone siding.
  • Forthcoming submittals:
    • 02 83 33-2 Bills of Lading and Recycling Certificates for Misc. Metals
    • 02 83 33-4 Bills of Lading and Certificates of Disposal for Hazardous Waste
    • 35 22 16-1 Commercial Product Data (manual operator gearbox and motorized actuator)
